Pizza Palace at 5250 Old Charlotte Highway # A, Monroe, North Carolina.

This restaurant has a lovely staff, very nice and can not find fault in them. However, the food is quite lackluster. I ordered wings and my guest ordered the Stromboli and we also hadn’t an order of cheese bread; the wings were slightly over cooked, but decent, the sauce on them was not that good though and tasted store bought. The Stromboli was ehh, the garlic inside was not cooked thoroughly, but the sausage and bacon were good. The cheese bread was decent, gooey cheese but overall under seasoned (same with much of the other items we tried). And the last three things that I must address are the ranch, the cutlery, and the cleanliness. The ranch was subpar and tasted too much of butter milk which made it taste off. The cutlery is nothing but plastic which is hard to use on wings, Strombolis or pizza. Last, the restaurant was slightly dusty just generally not gone over; especially the restrooms which had no soap, and were not cleaned in a while. Won’t be back unless changes are made.
